Is Global Warming Science or Conspiracy?
Global Warming: Scientific and Social Perspectives...
Terms such as global warming, climate change and climate crisis are among the most frequently debated topics today, on which volumes of books could be written.
This article will provide an overview of global warming, the scientific hypotheses, objective and hypothetical evidence, as well as the opposing views and the evidence on which they are based.
Scientific Hypotheses
The first hypotheses about global warming date back to the 1970s. These hypotheses can be summarized as follows:
- Hypothesis I: Our world is warming rapidly.
- Hypothesis II: This warming is caused by fossil fuel use, deforestation, agriculture and industrial practices. These practices increase greenhouse gases, particularly carbon dioxide and methane.
Objective Evidence
The objective evidence supporting the global warming hypotheses is as follows:
- Air temperatures measured over the last 100 years,
- Measured amounts of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere over the last 50 years,
- The rate of glacier melt measured over the last 50 years.
Hypothetical Evidence
Hypothetical evidence is evidence that cannot be directly measured but is supported by modeling and historical data:
- The increase in air temperatures is compared with descriptions in old history books or retrospective modeling is performed.
- Pre-1980 greenhouse gas measurements are not reliable due to inadequate technology, but retrospective modeling assumes that they are increasing.
- Although the rate of melting of glaciers can be measured accurately in the last 30 years, retrospective modeling assumes that they are melting.
Opposing Opinions
There are also some opposing views on global warming. These views are based on the fact that the earth's climate has changed and will change throughout known history. The opposing views can be summarized as follows:
- Depending on many factors, the Earth's climate can change periodically over thousands of years or within minutes or days with large space, terrestrial and atmospheric factors.
- Human influence on the Earth's climate is incalculably low.
Evidence for Counterarguments
The evidence supporting the opposing views is as follows:
- Arctic region glacier drilling data: These data cannot provide objective information on changes in 100-200 years, but they provide clearer data on atmospheric changes over thousands and hundreds of thousands of years.
- Geological findings: In the same region, there are findings that the land is scorched and then becomes swampy, then forested one layer later, then desertified again one layer later.
- Archaeological findings: The remains of harbors of ancient cities show changes in sea level. Old Viking settlements under melting glaciers are proof that there were no glaciers in these regions two thousand years ago.
Climate change is a phenomenon that has existed throughout history and will continue into the future. Savage imperialism and unbridled capitalism must be prevented from polluting the atmosphere and poisoning the soil and people. The uncontrolled synthetic and plastic industry, pesticides and water pollutants must be banned.
However, it is not fair to punish ordinary people and innocent animals who are not involved in these crimes. The sensitivity of globalists, capitalists and neo-liberals to climate change is not for the benefit of humanity and nature, but because they build their policies on "seizing the opportunity".
Their aim is to control states and people, to have more control over the reins and to rule the whole world from a single hand. What they need is fewer people, less humanity; the population they aim for is a community of slaves.
