The Gaza Genocide: Would you like your name to be remembered for the darkest genocide in human history, all for a handful of dollars?

What is happening in Gaza is not merely a bloody regional war; it is the harsh reality of systematic genocide and ethnic cleansing that deeply shakes the conscience of humanity and threatens the international order. Remaining silent in the face of such brutality amounts to betraying human dignity and national security.

The weak and delayed responses of Western countries and regional actors to the tragedy are significant in that they expose the ruthless, calculated games of global power dynamics and the sinister plans being carried out at the expense of innocent lives.

What parallels exist between the weak responses of Islamic countries and Western states to the Gaza genocide? Why is Turkey, despite being among Islamic countries, unable to take an effective and decisive stance instead of rhetoric?

Turkey's stance on the Gaza-Israel war is also a critical issue that needs to be questioned. These questions necessitate a moral reckoning.

Global Power Balances and Western States' Strategic Interests

Western countries generally respond with token gestures to Israel's inhumane actions in Gaza. The suspension of trade negotiations by countries such as the UK, France, and Canada is insufficient to stop Israel's crimes. They avoid imposing harsh sanctions, taking into account Israel's strategic importance in the region. Their continued support for Israel behind closed doors, citing energy security, defense cooperation, and regional stability, demonstrates that the genocide of innocent people is being disregarded in the name of geopolitical interests.

Global Media Manipulation is a Critical Tool in Maintaining Strategic Interests

The Western media's portrayal of Israel's inhumane massacres in Gaza as a “right to self-defense” and its labeling of Palestinian resistance as “terrorism,” combined with language that prevents the public from seeing the truth, psychological pressure, and manipulation techniques, has led to anti-Israel movements being equated with anti-Semitism. Thus, the oppression suffered by the Palestinian people has been legitimized and made difficult to question.

The Stances of Islamic Countries and Turkey

Islamic countries are far from taking an effective stance against the genocide in Gaza. Speeches are generally limited to rhetorical slogans and theatrical emotional appeals, and the failure to take concrete interventionist steps deepens the suffering of the Palestinian people and paves the way for the continuation of oppression. The unity and solidarity of the Islamic world remain mere words, and they have deliberately and willingly done nothing in terms of practical support.

Turkey, despite being an important actor among Islamic countries, is also showing similar weakness in the face of the Gaza genocide. Despite the government's statements and Allah's command to “help the oppressed,” they have effectively returned the command to Allah, leaving the “help” prayers symbolic, with no intention of providing practical support or intervening with force, once again showing us that the leaders of the Islamic world have no connection to Islam. In this context, it has not only created disappointment among the Turkish people, who embrace the principle that “Israel does not understand words, it understands power,” but has also led to intense questioning.

So, despite the public's sensitivity on this issue, why is the government not bringing the option of intervention to the table?

Turkey's Strategic Cooperation with Israel and Indirect Links with the West

There is a clear contradiction between Turkey's rhetoric, which is full of condemnation of the genocide in Gaza, and its actual policies. Turkey has significant cooperation with Israel in the fields of energy, defense, and trade. The transportation of natural gas reserves in the Eastern Mediterranean to Europe increases Turkey's importance as an energy corridor. Oil trade via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline enables Turkey to earn money per barrel and strengthens its role in regional energy policies. Additionally, cooperation in defense technologies and trade has solidified the strategic ties between the two countries. Therefore, Turkey is not taking sufficient action.

Turkey's relations with the West are directly linked to Israel's role in the region. NATO membership and strategic cooperation with the US shape Turkey's regional policies; within the framework of the Greater Middle East Project (BOP), Turkey is an important actor in the West's plans for the Middle East.

However, while Turkey's balanced policy toward Israel allows it to maintain its ties with the West while also preserving its relations with the Arab world and Iran, the question remains as to how long this balancing act can continue while the genocide of Muslims persists.

While the government needs to pursue a more decisive and effective policy to stop the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza by using Turkey's diplomatic and strategic capabilities, the increased geopolitical and strategic cooperation with Israel contradicts the harsh rhetoric against the genocide in Gaza; therefore, its sincerity and actual support are being questioned by its supporters.

Israel's Ethnic Cleansing Policy and Violations of International Law

The US and other Western powers view Israel as an effective power in the region and seek to maintain their influence in the Middle East. Israel's policies in the West Bank and Gaza, which are based on this power, are a clear indication of ethnic cleansing, meaning the forced displacement and elimination of Palestinians from their lands. Therefore, the fact that Muslim (so-called) countries in the region do not take action to stop the genocide by forming a joint defense force and cooperating in intervention, considering the reality that “Israel understands power,” and failing to form a joint defense force and cooperate in intervention to stop the genocide is clearly in line with their strategic interests that do not prioritize humanity in the region.

Since ending the genocide in Gaza is not only a matter of conscience for the Palestinian people but also a guarantee for the future of all humanity, it is time to break the silence and seek justice. Otherwise, leaving the matter to its own devices with an attitude of “let them see what happens to them” will mark this period in human and Turkish history as a black stain: “Those who prayed and made supplications, but valued the money from one barrel of oil more than the blood of innocent babies, have come and gone.”

They all know very well that it will even be written down with their names.

If there are any who do not know, it would be beneficial for them to know all of this in advance!
