Turkey is experiencing one of the most critical periods in its history. On 13 June 2025, Israel's ‘Rising Lion’ operation against Iran shook the regional balance and opened the door to a new era that directly threatens Turkey's security and unity. This attack has had a chain reaction that affects not only Iran but the entire region.

The division scenarios planned under the Greater Middle East Project (GMP) are targeting our national unity and the future of our state, transcending our borders. Since Turkey's path at this critical juncture will shape not only regional but also global balances, the dangers Turkey faces, along with internal and external dynamics and possible solutions, must be examined in detail.

Regional Tensions and Turkey's Security Strategy

Israel's air strikes on nuclear facilities in Iran have the potential to fundamentally alter the balance of power in the region. The attack aims to weaken not only Iran's military capabilities but also its regional influence.

The possibility of Iran's fragmentation, which could bring about security crises that would directly affect Turkey, shows that Turkey is also being targeted as one of the final stages of the BOP. Turkey's border security, military preparations and diplomatic relations must be reshaped in light of the new reality. Regional instability is forcing Turkey to review both its military and political strategies.

The BOP's Insidious Plans for Turkey

The Greater Middle East Project is a comprehensive strategy aimed at fragmenting Turkey. Imperialist powers are acting with the goal of transforming the lands between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers into a second Israel. Since 2011, various steps have been taken to weaken Turkey through Syria. During this process, policies such as transitioning to a federal structure and weakening national identity have been implemented.

Strategic moves such as mine clearance in border regions are part of a long-term strategy to divide and weaken Turkey, which is among the elements threatening the country's internal security. Public awareness of these threats is of vital importance in terms of increasing national resistance.

Internal Threats: Military Weakness and Political Transformation

Turkey's defence capacity is also being systematically weakened from within. Asymmetric warfare techniques and intelligence attacks are reducing the effectiveness of the army. Insufficient developments in air defence systems and silence in the face of attacks in international waters reveal the fragility of the defence.

In the political arena, the transformation that began with the AKP government is serving the BOP's Turkish branch with policies that weaken national unity. Ideologies such as Neo-Ottomanism and non-Islamic Islamism, which are internal threats that undermine the country from within, combine with external pressures to further complicate Turkey's struggle for existence.

National Unity and Democracy: The Foundation of Power

Turkey's survival depends on a strong democracy and the preservation of national values. Democracy prevents internal collapse by ensuring social solidarity and the rule of law. Democracy, which is the guarantee of national unity, is also the most effective defence against external threats.

Therefore, it is critically important to strengthen democratic institutions through oversight and to achieve social consensus. Throughout history, Turkey has emerged stronger from many crises thanks to democracy and national unity. Acting with the same determination today will secure the country's future.

Military Reforms and Strategic Security

In order to increase Turkey's resilience, the military system must be reorganised and a permanent and strong military presence must be established in border regions. A return to a parliamentary system and the oversight of powers will increase the country's resistance to both internal and external threats.

Military capacity must be supported by merit-based diplomacy and strategic intelligence and turned into a deterrent force. Furthermore, nuclear deterrence is a mandatory strategic security element for Turkey; it is indispensable for regional peace and balance. These reforms will strengthen Turkey's hand in both the military and diplomatic arenas.

The Games of Foreign Powers and Turkey's Future

The United States, Israel and their collaborators continue to implement complex strategies to weaken Turkey. Developments in Syria and attempts by NATO and Israel to use Turkey's airspace are concrete examples of these strategies. Turkey must take decisive and strong steps both internally and externally to disrupt these games. Everyone must do their part to protect our national unity and ensure the survival of our state. In this process, raising public awareness and maintaining a firm stance on the part of the state are of vital importance.

Conclusion: If We Don't Unite, We Will Remain Extras

Turkey must recognise the dangers it faces and take action. We must either build our future as a strong union or be doomed to remain extras in the scenario of external powers. Taking decisive steps for our national unity and the survival of our state is the most important factor in determining Turkey's destiny. In this critical period, everyone must do their part, which will be decisive in Turkey's struggle for existence.
