Questions and Criticisms of Gay Activism (7)
There are many reasons why people criticize homosexual activism. These reasons stem from various social systems, cultural beliefs and personal perspectives.
Objections are often based on religious and cultural values, moral and ethical concerns, and fear of social change, which can undermine existing social structures and traditional norms. In the seventh part of this series, we will continue with important criticisms of homosexual activists.
** Criticism of same-sex marriage;
Feminists and homosexuals have long criticised the meaninglessness of marriage and the redundancy of the institution by promoting free sexuality. They question the necessity of marriage and the legitimate way of satisfying sexual urges, arguing that marriage is unnatural, coerced and restricts freedoms. As a result, mass media have played an important role in this process and unmarried unions have become more common. Homosexuals by nature do not want to stick to a single partner and seek different sexual pleasures with new partners. Studies show that homosexuals change their partners 4-5 times a month, 40-50 times a year and even share this information on social media without hesitation. The legal legitimisation of same-sex marriage is inconsistent and contradictory because it makes fun of honour, marriage and family. Same-sex marriages cannot have children, for that they need heterosexual couples. The legal legalisation of homosexual marriages is therefore inconsistent and contradictory.
** The criticism that homosexuality takes fair distribution and labour off the agenda;
Muslim and socialist circles criticise homosexual movements financed by imperialist global organisations for taking labour off the agenda. Homosexuality serves to forget social inequalities, unjust distribution and exploitation of labour. By financing these organisations, the richest families and global corporations protect the capitalist class. However, some academics and media workers do not realise this because it is a global capitalist plan. Tülin Oygür, President of the Republican Women's Association, warns that homosexual organisations are supported by imperialists, that they waste the energy of young people by funding these organisations and that they maintain their hegemony with artificial agendas. Left organisations failed to notice this trap and tried to evaluate the event from the perspective of freedom.
** By multiplying the elements included in the definition of homophobia, homosexual organisations make homosexuality uncritical and taboo;
Phobia is the fear of something that negatively affects one's daily life and is often referred to as ‘homophobia’ by some homosexual organisations. This attitude, based on religious, moral and political reasons, often leads to a dangerous taboo that cannot be criticised or discussed. In the modern world, however, every issue and idea should be criticised and the concept should be restricted to behaviour and attitudes based on unjustified judgements, such as hatred, violence and acts of violence against homosexuals. Critics argue that a narrow definition of homophobia increases attacks and acts of violence against homosexuals.
** Criticisms of Queer Theorists' Claims;
The queer approach to liberating personal preferences and establishing a new social order from scratch raises questions about the potential harms of destroying beneficial values and establishing a new social order. Emphasising fluid sexual identities and genderlessness can lead to the disappearance of moral norms and the spread of sexual diseases. Queer theorists argue that all sexual orientations are natural and should not be subject to moral judgement. They question the acceptance of behaviours such as homosexuality, paedophilia, zoophilia, necrophilia and incest and question whether society would be safer if sexual desires and actions were unlimited. No one would be safe in a world without boundaries and rules, and it is important to consider the potential consequences of a world without gender.
** A Critique of the Discourse that All Gender Differences are Nothing but a Discursive Construction
Post-structuralist philosophy and third-wave feminism, which argue that gender and biological differences are social constructions, are criticised. This perspective coincides with the homosexual movement's desire for a genuine heterosexual order. The movement claims that all gender differences, including biological ones, are discursive constructions, while homosexuality is innate and unchangeable. Kaplan questions why transsexuals undergo surgery to change biologically, since both genders are discursive constructions.
** The Contradiction of Homosexuals Seeing Social Constructions as Intervention and Oppression;
The feminist-gay movement has shaped the Western intelligentsia by influencing knowledge production and power relations that define what is ‘normal, legitimate and right’. This discursive hegemony has shaped popular culture and social media, leading to questions about why same-sex unions follow male-female roles and why individuals choose to participate in marriage and parenthood.
** Criticism of the Concealment of Anal Cancer, which has become widespread due to LGBT
Health Ranger reports that the mainstream western media is hiding the fact that anal cancer occurs in the majority of gay men and is 100 times more common than in straight men. The American Cancer Society and the American Cancer Society have announced that anal cancer is on the rise, but the mainstream media are reluctant to publish this information. This hoax is aimed at disrupting LGBT activities and deceiving the public and young people who want to know the truth.
